Karl Burke has enjoyed a splendid season with his juveniles and Cold Case sets the form standard on the back of a narrow victory at the Doncaster St Leger meeting in a similarly valuable contest. He seems sure to go well again but HOLGUIN is 3lb better off here for a length and a half and should be suited by the slightly shorter trip so could offer a decent level of value against the likely market leader. Barefoot Angel is progressive and landed a Group 3 last time so will surely be in the mix but Maylandsea needs to recapture her attractive early-season form. Funny Story and Washington Heights could also get involved.
