In depth
Verdict
A competitive sprint with plenty of early pace assured, with the likes of Tick Tock and Tancred Times, both capable of taking these along. Tancred Times, returning to the turf, is beginning to look better handicapped, having won off a 4lb higher mark. Whizz Kid turns out again under a penalty for winning at Bath on Tuesday, and still looks well treated, but a chance is taken with the top weight Promised. This represents a drop in class for the mare, who kept company last term with some classy performers. Providing she is straight enough to do herself justice, she has been given a chance by the handicapper, who has dropped her 4lb.
