      In depth

      Formwatch

Masterpiece (USA) No sign of encouragement in any of his starts this season; best watched for the time being.

McGillycuddy Reeks (IRE) Doesn't win very often but is a thoroughly genuine mare; tends to do her winning during the summer months.

Ringside Jack Goes with plenty of cut but has had little help from the handicapper.

Biggles (IRE) Looks to have plenty to do on handicap debut.

Massey Three times a winner on the all-weather this winter; handicapped on that form.

Benbyas Sprung a surprise when winning at Pontefract on reappearance over a mile; raised 6lb since and steps up in trip.

Stepastray Claims on best form but that is on a faster surface.

The President Winning hurdler this winter but stable out of form recently and is probably best watched for the time being.

Ocean Song Not badly treated on best from of last season; fit from the all-weather and has to be respected.

A Day On The Dub Good winner at Musselburgh on return to the flat (only 4lb higher here); has disappointed back over hurdles since but probably the one to beat.

Smarter Charter Beaten a long way at Folkestone behind Porak last week (2nd Suave Performer runs in the 2:50); claims if staying the longer trip.

Santa Lucia Dual winner at Hamilton last term on a faster surface; may need the outing today.

Petuntse Long absence to overcome and stable remains in the doldrums; best watched.

On Shade Open to improvement but not certain to be suited by the step up in trip.

Cosmic Song Claims on best and well treated (11lb lower than when winning at Carlisle last season); showed little subsequently and not one to have great faith in.

Flaxen Pride (IRE) Showed little in three starts last season; stable continues to struggle.
