In depth
Verdict
PALAWI gains the narrow vote to break his maiden tag at the third attempt at the expense of Dandinao and Fluster. The selection caught the eye on both is two starts to date finishing third on both occasions. His trainer is sure to have him well tuned for his seasonal debut and with the soft ground not posing as a problem he looks the best value in the race. Dandinao improved from his debut at Newcastle to finish a decent second at Nottingham thereafter. He is a colt that is sure to win races and warrants respect. The same can be said about the new comer from the Mark Johnston stable Fluster. He was an expensive purchase as a younger but was perceived to be too inexperienced to run as a three year old but with another year on her back she could be anything so the betting market will be the best guide to her chances. Palawi has lots to offer and looks the percentage call.
