    Verdict

GRITSTONE is given the vote to land the finale at the expense of Danceintothelight and Warling. The selection ran two fair races in maiden company finishing second and fourth and was then thrown into the deep end at Newmarket in a highly competitive two year old contest. He was not discredited finishing in division and anywhere neat his best he ought to go close to breaking his maiden tag on his seasonal debut. Danceintothelight has more experience than most and has run some fine races in defeat. That said he may fair better against handicap company and for that reason should be treated with caution. Warling only ran the once last season finishing eighth of twenty in a Newmarket maiden. The race has thrown up some winners and the market will prove to be the best guide to his chances. Gritstone has the best form on offer and can land the finale.
