Verdict
Jeremy Noseda has been a very profitable trainer to side with at Redcar over the years and it can pay to stick with his Newmarket raider Sharp Needle, who shaped up well to win on her handicap debut last time and can follow up in this modest company today. Oscar Pepper, who goes very well at this course, and Blaebury, who is in cracking form, are expected to pose the most problems from the rest - although Inchdura is in with a chance of making the frame and can go well for each-way players if the prices permit. By way of contrast, Gala Sunday appears to have lost a little interest in the game at the moment and the fitting of the first time headgear hardly inspire confidence behind his chance today. Riska King is another to be wary of after a series of below par efforts and the fact that he has never even been placed over a mile underlines what a chancy proposition he is here. The profile presented by Sharp Needle is in direct contrast to his, and indeed, many of the rest, which makes the unexposed three-year-old the obvious one in a handicap of this nature at this time of year.
