Verdict
Up until his most recent run, Green For Luck has been progressing well this year. Although his last run was a step backwards he did finish ahead of Rescent who also lines up for this race. Ian Brennan claims 5lb which will help and GREEN FOR LUCK is the pick. Briary Mac was over fourth lengths behind the winner when she tried a mile here last time out. The trend shown in her three races so far this year is that she weakens towards the finish. This could benefit Emeralds Spirit who stayed on strongly in the final furlong at Thirsk last time out. However the opponents today are trickier and she does not have the advantage in the weights she had when winning last time.
