In depth

Verdict

CASTELLINA only needs to run to within a stone of her official rating of 70 to win this; the right to the runner-up spot may be fought out between Blue Jet and Mystified. Ed Creighton's mare has a good record for a modest performer, although she is yet to score on these shores since coming across from France. This looks an easier assignment than last time at Lingfield and she should be good enough to emerge victorious. Lunar Storm represents a stable in great form and cannot be ignored despite having plenty to do at the weights, whilst Blue Jet represents a trainer who does well at the track. Mystified is the closest to the favourite in terms of official ratings, and Roger Fisher's experienced runner has been in good form this May over hurdles. Fellow jumpers Nightboat To Cairo and Sprinkler must be given a second glance, however this looks a good opportunity for Castellina to record her first UK win.
