Verdict

GORAK (NAP) proved well suited to soft ground when scoring easily at Doncaster last week with Perseverants over five lengths back in second. He’ll likely be raised by more than today’s penalty and can go in again. Both Wobwobwob and Darkness have winning form on testing ground and the former beat Danzan last year while Deputy beat The Cookstown Cafu a nose on heavy going at Doncaster last autumn. Another Batt and Fame And Acclaim have both won off higher marks in the past with the latter debuting for Mick Appleby’s yard today.
