Verdict
A draw next to the rail is likely to be advantageous here so the winner may come from the trio of Annijaz, Jessie and Mrs Spence, with the vote going to the first mentioned of the three. The selection ran better than expected on his debut at Bath over six furlongs in soft ground last week when a fast-finishing second to Go Go Girl. Racing off the same mark today, and with the step up to seven furlongs likely to suit, Milton Bradley's mare holds solid claims. Jessie is a consistent performer but a 5lb rise for her latest effort leaves the five-year-old with more to do here and a bigger threat may come from Mrs Spence. Mick Easterby's filly has dropped to a fair mark after two starts over the minimum trip this term and may do better now that she tackles further. Waterpark had a good season last term, winning twice from four starts, but gave little sign of encouragement on her return at Nottingham last week, although she did race on the unfavoured stands' side. Mel Brittain's Southwell winner Sandorra has more to do under a penalty now and of more interest may be Park Star, who ran with credit under similar conditions at Nottingham last time. However, Annijaz has plenty in her favour and gets the vote.
