In depth

Verdict

Lewis Lloyd, Apache Point and Awaken are three against the field in this claimer and the vote is given to Awaken. The selection was well backed but could manage only fourth behind Paparaazi last time out. However he looks sure to have come on for the run and under conditions that suit he looks a value bet. Lewis Lloyd rates the main danger on his latest second behind Copper King. He looks sure to be suited by this longer trip and with his yard in form he should be watched in the market. Apache Point is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but his best form is with more cut in the ground and he is taken on with this in mind. Of the remainder Beamsley Beacon was well beaten in a seller last time and will need to improve if he is to score. This is a poor affair and stakes should be kept to a minimum but for the winner we return to Awaken.
