Verdict
Desert Palms has changed stables since a close fourth over 7f at Kempton in June. He's run well on occasions on Turf and looks the main threat to MECCA'S HOT STEPS. Michael Dods' filly has been narrowly beaten over the minimum, usually staying on, so today's extra can see her finally off the mark. The remainder with form have shown little so it wouldn't be a surprise if the newcomer Wallgate were to take a hand as he's a half-brother to the high-class sprinter Mabs Cross and three other useful winners.
