In depth

Verdict

Sporting Gold just managed to get the better of Perfect Summer at Haydock last time. The latter re-opposes on better terms but Roger Varian's charge was having his first start since January on that occasion and may well confirm superiority. DUCHESS OF GAZELEY's winning run came to end at Goodwood in August but that's not to say she won't find further improvement stepping up in trip. A chance is taken she'll handle today's ground and she gets the nod. Dewala rattled up a hat-trick at Southwell early in the year and should go well along with Medieval Bishop, a winner over today's trip at Newcastle recently.
