        Verdict

        CALL ME GRUMPY (NAP) was backed off the boards on his reappearance and first run in a handicap at Sandown last week and won far more easily than the winning margin suggests. With Cameron Noble taking off 7lb here, it’s unlikely a penalty will prevent a follow-up. Hajjam could be the one for each-way punters as he wasn’t disgraced on his first run for new connections at Wetherby and has won on Polytrack. The Stalking Moon was third over an extended 7f at Beverley so this slightly longer trip shouldn’t be a problem but it’s hard to make a case for many of the others.
