Royal Dignitary's form figures have an impressive look and he may well be good enough to win this, but the ground is a major cause for concern and we'll field against him with FORTUNATE ISLE. The selection takes a marked drop in class to compete here, having seen his mark reduced by 9lb to 80 since his last run. He acts well on soft ground and will want every yard of this mile to bring his stamina into play, and with a strong pace assured we'll back him to do that. Bravely has to be short list material at these weights, as soft ground and this trip suit and this is his first run for Tim Easterby since leaving the care of Jim Bolger. Crocodile Bay goes well at both 7f and a mile but the ground doesn't look ideal and the fly-in-the-ointment could well be Maryqueenofscots. Michael Bell's filly is unexposed after just three starts and should act on the ground. She cleayl has improvement in her, but for today we'll side with Fortunate Isle.
