          Verdict

          Ornithologist improved for the drop back to 1m2f at Nottingham last time, but it remains to be seen if he's got the speed for today's even shorter distance. Pulsatilla hasn't raced since her debut third at Thirsk in July and Menha makes her belated seasonal debut having occupied the same position at Folkestone last August. RED LOVER is another returning from a lay-off, but his placed efforts at Newbury and Doncaster last season is the best form on offer and Ed Dunlop's charge gets a tentative vote.
