Verdict

STAGECOACH JADE is aiming for a hat-trick, and looks capable in this step up in class for Mark Johnston's filly, and gets the nod to get the better of Wee Giant and Tiger Reigns. She's not the easiest ride on the evidence of two wins at Wolverhampton, a maiden and a handicap, but she's shown a great attitude to win those contests, both of which were over nine furlongs. The slight step up in trip shouldn't inconvenience, and she's racing off a fair mark. Tiger Reigns is looking for a three-timer too, and also steps up in trip. A maiden win at Catterick was followed with handicap success at Newcastle for the in-form yard, and there's plenty of scope for improvement. He was entered in a similar race at Leicester tomorrow, but presumably connections feel he has a better chance here. Wee Giant won a Wolverhampton maiden and makes his first appearance for six months; a half brother to a Dubai World Cup winner, he previously cost $140,000. He may need the run though. The market has got this race right in the last couple of years with the favourites getting home first, and we're happy to side with Stagecoach Jade.
