    Verdict

PIPPIN STREET couldn't quite cope with her stablemate Holy Grail when they finished 1-2 at Ripon a couple of weeks ago but normal progress can see her go one better. Halsall started off in a Beverley maiden that has thrown up plenty of winners and went off a short-priced favourite at Musselburgh but didn't run as well on the very fast ground. The remainder with experience haven't shown much so the main threat may arrive in the shape of Lady Joanna Vassa, a very speedily-bred filly who is a half-sister to five winning sprinters and out of a mare who won over 6f as a two-year-old.
