Verdict
Eutropius was in good form around this time last year and didn't have much racing subsequently. He reappeared with a fair effort at Thirsk and should make a bold bid. Archipeligo looked a very progressive type when completing a Wolverhampton double at the turn of the year and didn't stay 1m6f back there in January. He has some scope and should be thereabouts if ready after a break. Makin The Rules stepped up to a mile at Thirsk last weekend but could only stay on at one pace and this is even further but Storm Rider has his first start for Dandy Nicholls after leaving Richard Hannon and is worth a market check. Moonlight Venture was suited by soft ground at Thirsk and has never raced beyond a mile so a chance is taken with SOV. He made a belated debut at Pontefract in September where he started odds-on and won easily despite showing his experience. The assessor had little to work on but a mark of 72 could prove lenient.
