        Verdict

        Bollin Joan's recent Catterick third suggested the handicapper may have caught up with her but she's a reliable conveyance in such contests, has won for today's pilot and is respected. First Dance bounced back to form the last day rather out of nowhere and a repeat of that level here would see her on the premises despite topweight. Gworn and Restive have useful credentials at their best but Tristan Davidson has made a tremendous start to his training career, albeit with a very small number of horses and ISLAND SONG is taken to make it four in a row since joining the Cumbrian yard. The booking of Serena Brotherton is another tick in the box for the selection.
