In depth

Verdict

BAL MAL (NAP), a winner at Wolverhampton in February, reverted to Turf with a comprehensive victory at Beverley on Tuesday and will be hit with a bigger rise than the 6lb extra carried here so a quick double looks on the cards. Abbaleka wasn't in the best of form on the all-weather circuit during the winter but Ice Ice Lady made a winning debut at Lingfield before having her limitations exposed at Chelmsford. Ruby Wonder showed good pace for a long way at Wolverhampton earlier this month, her first start since August, and can get involved.
