In depth

Verdict

Van Gerwen is on a long losing run but is generally thereabouts and has dropped to a winnable mark. Boudica Bay was narrowly beaten at Newcastle, with Irish raider Compton's Finale a neck behind, but didn't really get going under a big weight at Hamilton on Wednesday and the latter can turn the tables. UNDERCOVER BROTHER was having only his second start since November 2018 when beaten less than a length at Beverley last week. That was his first start for Les Eyre and, with just a 2lb rise to contend with, he can go one better. The Grey Zebedee finished last in another division of the latter event but was in need of the run.
