Banknote, Brace of Doves and Knock Bridge are all shortlisted in this wide open affair and the vote is given to Banknote. The selection enjoyed the run of the race when beating Miss Patricia at Windsor on his seasonal reappearance. He looked as though he was in need of the run that day even though he won, and this lightly-raced colt is sure to come on for that effort and has to have an outstanding chance. Brace of Doves won well when beating Knock Bridge at Thirsk last time, but the latter is much better off at the weights so he should gain his revenge on these revised terms. However, both look to have a little to find to beat our selection. Etolie Russe showed enough ability in three maiden last season to suggest he could win a race of this nature. He is sure to have come on for his first run of the season and with his yard now back amongst the winners he could go well at a price. However, Banknote looks to have a solid chance here and he is given the vote.
