Verdict
A competitive handicap rounds of the card and many would have chances on their best form but the principals look to be Archirondel, Intricate Web and Ticerio and the tentative vote is given to Archirondel. The selection won well last time out when beating Libre and although he has a penalty for that win he won with plenty in hand and despite his penalty he will be hard to beat under conditions that suit. Intricate Web rates the main danger as he has dropped to a handy mark and ran as if about to hit form last time out. However his best form is on a much faster surface and for that reason he is opposed. Ticero is another worthy of respect on his best form but he looks weighted up to his best and is also better on a faster surface. Of the remainder Rarefied is from a yard in form but may just need the run after a 192 day absence and for the winner we return to Archirondel who still looks ahead of the handicapper.
