        Verdict

        Arletta Star, Seanjohnsilver and Ascot Dreamer all went close last time, though the latter pair step up a grade for this. Defence Treaty may benefit from a drop back in distance but Murqaab only won a seller at Thirsk and left David O’Meara’s stable in the subsequent auction. Northernpowerhouse is proving very consistent and has only gone up a pound since his second at Thirsk with Magical Spirit also finding only one too good at Newcastle last month. INSPIRED THOUGHT lost her unbeaten record at Newcastle but it’s possible she didn’t enjoy the drop in distance. Back over her winning trip, she can get back on track as she has plenty of scope now tried on Turf.
