Verdict
News Of The Day gets the verdict in this modest looking affair, Skye But N Ben and Marju's Gold are the likely dangers. Mark Johnston's filly landed an all-weather handicap back in February and hasn't run a bad race since. She was only just touched off in a Beverley handicap last time and a repeat of that run should be good enough today. Skye But N Ben ran too badly to be true last time out and is better judged on his previous success at Nottingham. If on a going day he will be a tough nut to crack. Marju's Gold pulled too hard last time out and was well beaten. If settling better this afternoon he should play a hand in the finish. The best of the rest could be Keep Your Distance, but the most likely winner is News Of The Day and this one gets our confident vote.
