In depth
Verdict
A maiden lacking strength in depth and Murbek is selected ahead of Tartan Tie and Golden Wave. It's a long way to come for nothing so Michael Jarvis' looks to have found a perfect opportunity for the 84 rated horse to break his duck. He seems effective on any surface and sets the standard. Front running Tartan Tie has done all his work on a fast surface. Mark Johnston's team are a little in-and-out at the moment so the market is best watched. Golden Wave cost 150000 guineas and struggled when pitched in at a low level at Wolverhampton. More is required here. Darley Stud castoff, Music Review made an encouraging debut at Newcastle but has not been seen out since April. Ninetyninetreble looked capable of winning a race when finishing a close-up second at Wolverhampton on debut. His subsequent efforts have disappointed. Still Dreaming is a relatively cheap Singspiel purchase while Adare was well supported in two National Hunt Flat races and could literally be anything on introduction to the summer game. Murbek's form makes him difficult to oppose and he is likely to be priced accordingly.
