    Verdict

Jordan James won at Catterick and finished runner-up here at the end of the last campaign though both runs were on ground with some give. Newmarket Warrior gained his first victory on his 24th start at Newcastle and then ran very well in a better handicap than this over the course and distance. Wink Oliver has only ever won on the all-weather but Cabal is consistent and 5lb lower than her last victory. QUOTELINE DIRECT is another well handicapped at his best and though unraced since November he managed to make a successful debut back in 2015 so may not take too much getting ready and is handed the vote. Curzon Line has won here in the past and is better than he showed at Wolverhampton last time.
