Verdict

Helerskelter Girl is interesting off bottomweight on her handicap bow after the three obligatory maiden efforts in a contest where nothing makes great appeal. Tongalooma improved last time at Hamilton but needs to back that up now whilst Layla's Hero seems to be gradually inching back to form and now inhabits a really workable mark. He's very tempting but EMILY HALL gained her sole success at this venue, ran well last time when a close-up third over this trip behind Niceonemyson and should have more to offer on only her third start of the campaign. A J Cook also gained his only success here and has trip and ground to suit so cannot be ruled out, likewise Tim Easterby's doughty veteran, Ryedane. He may be 11 but the ability at this level remains and this step-up to 6f should suit after three recent staying-on efforts over the minimum trip.
