Verdict
Lady Superior, Quote Unquote and Lyndalee are the three for the shortlist in this maiden and the vote is given to Quote Unquote. The selection put in an improved effort when a good second behind Smart Cassie at Catterick last time. Her rider lost his whip in the closing stages that day which didn't help her cause and if she can run up to that level here then she will not be far away at the finish. Lady Superior rates the main danger as she caught the eye when a good second behind Verite on her debut at Chester. She is sure to strip fitter for the run but there is no guarantee that she will run up to that level again today, and at the likely odds she might be just worth taking on. Lyndalee is interesting as she showed plenty of promise on her first two runs before being well beaten when stepped-up in class last time. The return to this grade should make her competitive and this unexposed filly is certainly respected. Slipperfoot is the only newcomer in the race and she is worth noting in the market, but for the winner we will stick with Sir Mark Prescott's Quote Unquote.
