In depth

Verdict

Most of these are out of form and so it could rest between Gone Too Far and Time Marches On and we will give the vote to the last named, Sonoma may do best of the others. The selection has been steadily improving this season and put in a sound performance last time when third behind today's rival Gone Too Far. He was solidly beaten by that rival who had the race sewn up a long way from home. However he was given a lot to do by his inexperienced rider and Tony Culhane will undoubtedly make more use of him today. Sonoma ran his best race for some time when sixth behind Let It Be at Redcar last time. The second was an impressive winner last night and so it could turn out to be quite solid form. Colway Ritz can be given some sort of a chance on the pick of last season's form, but he isn't getting any younger, and so in what looks a virtual match Time Marches On is the choice.
