Verdict
A poor seller can go to Desert Lightning at the main expense of Just Waz. The selection steps up to this trip for the first time and whilst it doesn't look ideal on breeding, Karl Burke's gelding looks the best of a bad bunch here. He has won over ten furlongs before and Ripon is not a stiff track so on ground that suits, he must hold very solid claims. Inchdhuaig warrants respect after a spell over hurdles but he looked a short-runner there and this 17-race maiden looks opposable today. Tiltili cannot be ruled out returning from a spell jumping and Pat Haslam's runner should be watched for market support, however he is related to several sprinters so stamina could be an issue. Just Waz has been out of form of late but is sure to appreciate the drop to this company, although softer ground may suit more. A toughie for punters, however Desert Lightning gets the nod.
