Verdict
It was soft going when GAMESOME won a tougher sprint than this at Haydock last time with stablemate Van Gerwen well behind. But Paul Midgley’s charge is versatile as regards the ground and completed a double off a higher mark last summer. Awsaaf can figure having won at Leicester before placing at Wolverhampton last week while The Grey Zebedee had the measure of both B Fifty Two and Kibaar when fourth at Ayr recently.
