      Verdict

      There are a couple of in-form handicappers in opposition here but whereas Dawaaleeb steps up a grade after a cosy win at Beverley, GURKHA FRIEND drops down a level following last month’s course and distance success when he had Trading Point well behind. The top weight thrives around here and, though 8lb higher, the champion jockey keeps faith with Karen McLintock’s gelding. Storm Ahead is starting to look well treated but Frank Bridge, Zodiakos and Two For Two would need to improve on recent efforts to figure.
