Verdict
Gay Kelleway's raids here have been few in recent seasons, and all fruitless, but she can rectify that here with Not Now Lewis, while Cherri Fosfate is respected and River Gleam could improve for this trip. Not Now Lewis has been tried just once at around this trip, but the gelding is worth another go and has - in context - a fair degree of solid form to bring to the party. The yard is flying at present and that can also bolster confidence in his wellbeing, so we will suggest him. Cherri Fosfate was a c&d scorer in similar conditions a couple of starts back and this is his level, so if this is another going day then he can go very close. River Gleam looks interesting too. He has shown little of late over six and seven furlongs, but is related to staying winners and this step up in trip could be significant. Connections are not afraid of a punt and so if there is any support for this likely long shot then it may well be significant. Ja Myford is no stranger to this trip and is from a yard having winners, so at these weights he is not without a squeak, Cape Dancer is 2lb better off for two lengths with Cherri Fosfate so should be able to narrow that margin and get involved, but we will stick with Not Now Lewis for Gay Kelleway.
