Verdict

Like most of these, Swift Emperor has something to prove over today’s trip having done all his winning over shorter so far. Nottingham runner-up Lincoln Rocks was beaten nine lengths when placed over track and trip last season and Rainbow Rebel remains 8lb higher than his latest win. Sands Chorus stays the trip and was second at Pontefract recently but last year’s winner Dance King continues to struggle. HAIL CLODIUS (NAP) posted his best effort since joining Roger Fell when narrowly beaten over 1m2f at Doncaster last month. He should go close with a similar effort and gets the nod.
