Verdict

A winner here in the autumn, Gnat Alley made a winning reappearance at Thirsk and was only beaten half-a-length off this mark at Catterick 12 days ago. Stable companion Mattice finally got off the mark a day earlier at Redcar while Azure Blue bolted up at Hamilton following a promising reappearance at York and should make a bold bid to defy her penalty. William Haggas doesn’t waste many journeys here and KHANJAR (NAP) is his only representative this evening. By Kodiac out of a winning sprinter, he came good at Ascot in September when dropping back to 6f and fitness won’t be an issue.
