Verdict

The trio for the shortlist here are HAFAWA, Bagamoyo and Colonel Mak and the vote goes to Hafawa. The selection won a competitive maiden on her debut at Pontefract. She missed the break that day and ran very green but she still won and she looks a filly to stay on the right side of. Bagamoyo also won on his debut and this Acclamation colt clearly has plenty of ability. However that race at Doncaster did not look a particularly strong contest and he will need to improve if he is to back up that win here. Colonel Mak is more exposed than some of these and he had an excuse last time when he was denied a clear run before eventually finishing third behind Hairspray. Bow Beaver was well backed when winning on his debut over 5f at Carlisle and he is another to consider. However, for the winner it is hard to see past Hafawa.
