Verdict

Although 10 go to post here, all eyes will be on David Loder¿s Excellento who makes the journey north with a welter of expectations based on the stable¿s recent exploits. The son of Rahy had the misfortune to run into John Dunlop¿s Alasil on his debut at Pontefract last September, but face nothing of that calibre here and will take all the beating. Fantastic Love also found one too good on his introduction here a fortnight ago in the shape of Geoff Wragg¿s Always Esteemed but battle bravely to the line. That will encourage trainer Mark Johnston whose stable have yet to hit a purple patch. The only other to keep an eye on is Paul Blockley¿s Wainwright who did his handicapping prospects no good with an excellent second to The Privateer at Doncaster the time before last. If he beats Excellento his rating will skyrocket, but we do not think that will happen here.
