Mark Johnston's Spirit Of France looks the form choice but, with a doubt concerning the current health of the stable's horses, it might be worth giving Strathtay another chance and he is preferred to Wasalat. The last mentioned showed improved form at Haydock last month but the daughter of Bahri already gives the impression that she would appreciate further. Tim Easterby introduces a daughter of Danehill Dancer in Tcherina, who has to be respected, although stablemate Wedlock has the benefit of experience. Luca Cumani's Jazrawy is a half-brother to a winner in Italy and is another worthy of a mention but the vote goes to Strathtay. The daughter of Pivotal ran with promise on her debut here over five furlongs, on which evidence Pat Haslam's filly was sent off 10/11 favourite for a Hamilton maiden over today's trip. She lost all chance with a bad start that day but was still only beaten three lengths at the line so looks worth another chance today, especially with doubts over Mark Johnston's Spirit of France.
