Verdict
A wide open apprentice handicap rounds off the card and many would have chances on their best form but the principals look to be Mynd,Dorn Dancer and Blackheath and the tentative vote is given to Dorn Dancer. The selection won well last time out when beating Ashes. That form has since been franked and under conditions that suit and from a good draw he looks the value bet in an open affair despite his penalty. Mynd rates the main danger on his latest second behind Piccolo Prince but he is hard to win with and place claims look his best hope again. Blackheath has conditions to suit and could go well at a price but he looks vulnerable under top weight. Marshallspark has dropped to a handy mark and could go well at a price from a good draw while Trick Cyclist's best form is on a faster surface and in a race that throws up more questions than answers and where stakes should be kept to a minimum th e tentative nomination is given to Dorn Dancer.
