Verdict
Last Sovereign drops a couple of grades and has been running well enough to suggest he'll take all the beating in this with Jacob Butterfield taking off 7lb. Though he's been campaigned over 5f recently the step back up to 6f won't be a problem but TAJNEED, who won this last year, likes it here and has probably been targeted at the race again. He gave weight and a beating to Red Cape in a Thirsk last month and was far from disgraced at Windsor subsequently. Red Cape's stablemate Beckermet doesn't win very often nowadays but Jessie's Spirit was more like her old self at Catterick last time, though she has more on her plate here.
