    Verdict

Serena Brotherton has ridden the winner of this twice in the last three years and partners Pertuis for Micky Hammond this year though the Middleham handler also run Rayadour who is partnered by Carol Bartley, successful in Saturday's valuable ladies' race at York on Nanton. Teide Peak must go on the short-list having dead-heated with Tapis Libre over this trip at Haydock last month. Jan Smuts needs further while it's hard to catch Al Furat on a going day but Hernando Torres might be interesting having had just the one outing this season. PATAVIUM will be a decent price but is tied in closely with a few of these on collateral form and trainer Edwin Tuer won this three years ago with a similar type. On his old form, he could be a bit of value.
