Verdict

GASSIN GOLF has been raised 9lb for his impressive victory over 1m6f at Haydock so it's no surprise to see him running with a 6lb penalty. This may prove on the short side for a horse with an entry in the Queen's Vase but he's a progressive individual and wouldn't be running here unless thought capable of following up. Rayvin Black, a winner on soft ground at Yarmouth last season, ran a fine race when stepped up to this trip at York and looks a real threat with further improvement likely. Mark Johnston has a tremendous record in this race so Party Line has to be respected as she's been very consistent though she's gone up 3lb despite being beaten in her last two starts. Bohemian Rhapsody steps up to this trip for the first time and should be suited so he's one to keep an eye on.
