Plenty with claims in a competitive contest. No Poppy is perfectly capable of going close in this grade and Venutius remains on a decent mark despite a 5lb rise for his recent win at Haydock. Newmarket winner Daruband's rise in the weights is negated by an apprentice's claim and he could figure but Lockantanks' penalty may anchor him after recording his first win on Turf at Beverley during the week. Imperator Augustus has proved best over 7f so far but even though INGLEBY EXCEED also scored over 7f at Thirsk last month, there's no doubts about him staying today's distance and he gets the nod to follow-up ahead of Polytrack winner and stablemate So Wise.
