      Verdict

Some guesswork needed here as to which one of these will produce their best after below par efforts of late although JONNY LESTERS HAIR is the exception. He finished a creditable third in a more competitive handicap at this track last time and gets the vote to repeat his 2010 victory in this contest. Muffin McLeay continues to rise in the weights despite not winning and Carragold has struggled since scoring at Beverley in May. Assizes and Kinyras both disappointed last time after previous placed efforts and Robert The Painter is not getting any closer despite slipping down the handicap. Ultimate scored at Catterick last season but is 9lb higher today.
