      Verdict

      ALASKAN JEWEL went close to returning a surprise winner on her debut. Caught at the line over today’s trip at Newcastle, she can go one better in this with normal progress. Beauzon will likely finish closer having been burdened with an unfavourable draw at Beverley but running well for a long way. He’s preferred to stablemate and newcomer Zwift while both Favourite Child and Clodovea are related to winners.
