Verdict

Most of these have been plying their trade lately at a slightly lower level but not CANFORD BAY (NAP), who is back on a winning mark and one of only two to have won previously on the track. Van Gerwen is the other but his victory here in August came in a seller. Ayr third Afandem slips further down the ratings so looks a bigger danger than stablemate Autumn Flight. Ey Up Its Mick is in good form but is having a first run over the minimum trip while Pavers Pride looks to be in the handicapper’s grip.
