        Verdict

        Montana was only third when heavily backed to make a winning bow at Ascot late last month but the winner has franked the form by finishing placed in Listed company since. Richard Hannon's charge is entitled to improve for the outing so may prove the answer to a tricky contest. Redding is a useful yardstick but could be vulnerable to less exposed rivals while Spark Up has more to find after landing a weak event at Beverley last time but Tilak has claims on his previous second in a similar grade at Pontefract in July and rates a danger.
