        Verdict

        Mr Fortywinks had Activist behind when scoring in good style at Doncaster in June before following up Ayr. Brian Ellison's charge was far from disgraced last time and looks sure to go well again off a fair mark so gets the each-way vote. Oriental Empress has been well placed to win four of her last five starts but may now be in the handicapper's grip while Toni Alcala is on the same mark as when successful at Southwell in April and shapes as though he will be suited by this longer trip.
